San Francisco Residence

These images represent the complete remodel of an Architecturally Significant home along the Pacific Wall in San Francisco.  The original house was moved to the site after 1906 and was placed upon a brick foundation.  Redhorse worked closely with the Owner and the Architect to carefully preserve period detailing and enlarge the living space into the south yard.  The interior was essentially gutted, major seismic improvements were performed and all utility systems were brought up to current standards. The under-developed top and basement floor levels were brought into the 21st century through the use of natural lighting, increased ceiling heights, and removal of unnecessary partitions.  The entire exterior was redone utilizing custom wood exterior doors and windows integrated with appropriate cedar shingle siding.  Special finishes were applied at the direction of the interior designer, including the rejuvenation of the original redwood paneled study.
