Stinson Beach Residence Contemporary art and architecture combine to create this functional, technologically advanced house in Stinson Beach. Designed by architect Sandy Walker, the clients desired to have a house at the beach without having a “beach house.” With emphasis placed on the exceptional surroundings, the house was conceived in the form of a U, and windows were provided on all sides without making the house appear too massive. Touch panel technology affords the owner integrated control over lighting, motorized window shades and skylights can convert a room in the middle of the day to pitch darkness in 20 seconds. Additionally, interior design and modern art blend perfectly to compose balanced surroundings suited to meet the owner’s conflicting desires. |
